Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee

At first, the coffee was bitter to me. I just had another cup this morning but it was a 30/70 blend. There are a number of Jamaican coffees, but the Blue Mountain coffee is the most popular. I was happy to have a cup this morning. Brought me back to a happier place.

Fall flavors

It’s really deep into fall and winter is quickly approaching. It’s time to think about the warm seasonal spices that come with it. I just paired egg nog as a creamer in my creme brulee coffee. My mother has been using her seasonal creamers to spice up her hot cocoa. Fall teas can also be added into this equation. There is no end to the possibilities when you get in the mood to experiment with your hot drinks this time of year. Have fun!

Favorite for Flu season : Ginger Green Tea

I just got myself some Ginger Green Tea. I am only wishing I could have gotten it BEFORE I got sick! Oh, how great this stuff makes the body feel. Beautiful effect on the senses and the full well being of the body. I highly recommend it to anyone, especially those susceptible to frequent sickness during this flu/cold season.

Tea Party revisited

On April 15th, hundreds of people showed up to re-enact the Boston Tea Party. This time the gathering was to protest the $7.8 billion recovery bill. The tea was not thrown into the water, but gathered together to symbolize the original act. More than 30 cities joined in the protests.

How to get more tea savvy

The best way to get more tea savvy is to try more tea, of course. It’s hard to choose what to buy, especially if the cost is more than we care to pay. I would hate to buy a full box of tea just to find out that I abhorred the taste. The best way to go is to buy cost effective “” Tea Samplers “”
. These usually feature an array of flavors with minimal risk.

There are also companies that will let you sample their products for free, as well as those who add in a a sample of your choice with a regular order. You have to keep your eyes out for those specials. I know one coffee company that will do that with their specialty coffees and I expect they will start with their teas at any time.

I have been getting myself set up for blogging here more often.

In that spirit, I want you to get to know a tea that couldn’t be called any better than it already is.

This is some heavenly tea. I used to like the old time peach tea that once was widely available. The new stuff is thicker and less appealing to me. THIS tea is exactly what it should be, full of flavor and the smell is heavenly. I give this one 5 cups!

Wake Up Club: What’s in YOUR cup?

Now this isn’t barring tea or cocoa enthusiasts, as we all know that there are many among us. So tell me what are you drinking? Why did you pick that today? Any special thoughts on your hot beverage of choice? You can do this one every day, week, or whenever you get up and have a hankering for something steamy.. (get your mind out of the gutter LOL).

Today I have Vanilla, Caramel, and Kahlua coffee with a van/caramel creamer. I chose it because I adore the taste of caramel. I also have decaf cause Lord KNOWS I can’t have caffeine today.
