I am looking around for the best ways to brew your coffee. I am finding that many people favor french presses over the electronic coffee machines we all know. French presses are usually used with a more coarsely ground coffee powder which is infused inside the special pot and then pressed down so that the grounds go to the bottom while perfect coffee can be poured off the top. These presses come in different sizes, and yes you can get a one cup pot.
Other people have expounded on the merits of using an infusing cone with cone filters that hold the coffee as you pour hot water over them into your mug. This is a great way to make just one cup of coffee.
My husband told me about something that looks like a stocking which holds the coffee. You drop it in a pot of boiling water and VOILA! Coffee. I am still looking for the name of that particular item.
I remember my mother had a percolator at one time. It looks like a metal stick with a basket resembling a kitchen drain on top. I also remember it being one of the messier ways to make a good cup of coffee, as it tended to have grounds still in it. I never liked that thing.
What other ways do you enjoy for making your coffee?

My mom has one of those stockings. Not sure what it is called. She brews her coffee in a percolator and then pours it through it to catch the grounds.

Oh, and for the record, I have tried lots of methods. And I did like French Press, and the coffee pods, but I returned to the Hamilton Beach Brewmaster for convenience sake.
